A Resume Writing Professional is Relevant During All Career Stages

Working with a resume writing professional is relevant at all stages in your career. From graduation to the executive level, I provide the guidance, expertise, and documents needed to get my clients to the next step in their career. Which stage are you in now?

College Graduates: Not all schools provide dedicated courses to prep students for their job search. It is often a miniscule part of the curriculum, or a service students seek out on their own. In either circumstance, I find students feel overwhelmed because they are faced with both inexperience in resume writing and a limited job history. I work with college graduates to tap into the relevant experience, skills, and education they possess to create a resume that will land them a job after graduation.

Entry-level Professionals: After a few solid years working at the junior level, you may have your eyes set on something bigger, or different. I help entry-level employees make the move to a higher role in their industry, or make a career change. Maybe you are ready to take on a supervisor or management role within your industry, or maybe you’ve discovered that the career path you’ve chosen isn’t quite right. I work with entry-level employees to advance them along their current track, or redesign their resume for a new path.

Mid-level and Management: The majority of my mid-level clients have already reached some type of leadership role, whether it be as an office administrator, supervisor, or manager. They come to me ready for a new challenge, and I help them secure a position that offers more responsibility or money. I build them a new resume by compiling quantifiable accomplishments and summarizing their top skills to clearly emphasize they are ready for everything their new role holds.

Executive Level: At this point in their career, many of my executive level clients are looking for a very specific type of employment opportunity. Their difficulty lies in trimming their resume to properly position them for that opportunity, while also ensuring their qualifications are all clear. I find unique ways for them to stand out from the competition by gathering the evidence to show my client’s meet the requirements of the position. Whether that’s as a GM or C-Level VP, I work with all levels of executive professionals.

What working with a resume writing professional looks like.

In my opinion, the process of working with a resume writing professional should be seamless. Applying for a new job can be stressful and I do not aim to add any additional burden to my clients’ job search. My structure is simple and effective. What is it like working with me?

Set up a consultation: My first step is always to get to know you, answer your questions, and learn your goals. This is a brief, introductory consultation and is free of charge. You can email me at rebecca@rhresumes.com (please attach your current resume if you have one!) or give me a call at (973) 270-1777.

Sign our agreement: If you decide to work with me after your consultation, I will write up an agreement based on the package or services you’ve requested. Once the agreement is signed and payment is made, you will schedule your one-hour phone interview to get started.

Interview: The phone interview is our time to discuss everything. It is customized to each individual client, the stage of their career, and the employment opportunities they are seeking.

Resume and revisions: After the call, I will personally write your resume and any supporting documents and send them directly to you by email. You can email me any edits or questions you have, and I will make revisions accordingly. All of my resume writing packages and services include revisions received within 14 days.

Final documents: After we have collaborated and agreed on all revisions, I complete an additional and final proofread of your documents. I will then email you three copies of your resume for your files: word document, plain text, and PDF.

Feel safe with 5-year protection: Computer crash? Lose your hard copy and can’t find the file? I will store your resume documents for five years at no additional charge.

The difference of working with a resume writing professional

My process was created with my clients’ success in mind. My business exists by providing personal, one-on-one service to professionals and does not follow the “mass” or “automated” model that many large resume writing companies choose. I strive for quality, not quantity, which is why I take the time to get to know my clients, personally write their resumes, and work hand-in-hand with them on revisions so they are as happy with the finished documents as I am.

Working with a resume writing professional is much different than using a tool or automated service. I focus on the individual and their goals, and create personal, thought-out documents that exceed other modern solutions.
